Beach Volleyball Referee Stand

September 18, 2018

The NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel announced on Friday that effective in 2020, all competition beach volleyball courts will be required to have an official stand with a platform, podium ladder, or platform workstation for the match to count.

In addition, the announcement stated, “The platform either may be attached to a permanently installed net standard or may be free-standing. The platform should be adjustable in height to allow the referee’s eye position to be approximately 19 inches above the top of the net.”
