Sports Imports is pleased to announce they will be The Official Net System of the Inaugural Women’s National Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championship May 6-8, 2016 in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Sports Imports has a long standing relationship with the NCAA as the Official Net System for Men’s and Women’s Indoor Volleyball Championships and is proud to again be “At the Center” of the Beach Championship.

Beach volleyball is the NCAA’s 90th championship. It is the fastest growing sport with 50 colleges and universities sponsoring it as of January 2015.  “Sports Imports was there for beach volleyball in the beginning, developing safe, durable net systems as soon as the sport was put on the NCAA Emerging Sports list in 2009, and was used the last 4 years at the AVCA Collegiate Beach Championships,” said AVCA Executive Director, Kathy DeBoer. “It is a testament to their leadership and a fitting reward for their investment that their product is center-stage at the inaugural NCAA Beach Championship.”

Sports Imports has been at the center of beach championships since 1996 when their net system was used for the first Olympic Beach competition in Atlanta, GA. Cyndie Dunlap-Cullinan, CEO of Sports Imports states, “We greatly value our partnership with the NCAA and look forward to continuing our partnership on the beach. The growth of beach volleyball at the club, high school, and collegiate level has been exponential and we are proud to be part of that growth. Our team is excited to have the Sports Imports beach volleyball net system be at the center of the inaugural NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship this coming May in Gulf Shores.”
